May 1974

Kenneth M. Clayton becomes an Attorney

1978

Ken Clayton starts his own law firm

1980

Ken Clayton becomes one of the three founding members and directors of the Mid-Florida Chapter of Community Association Institute. Ken served as President and in many other positions for their board

November 1982

Neal McCulloh becomes an Attorney and is hired as an Associate Attorney at Ken Clayton’s law firm.

October 1987

Ken Clayton & Neal McCulloh decide to form the law firm of Clayton & McCulloh practicing primarily in Community Association Law. Its first office is located in downtown Orlando at 220 North Palmetto Avenue, near Lake Eola.

October 1988

Arlene-Frances Ring, Director of Public Relations, serves as the President of the Mid Florida Chapter of Community Associations Institute and a three year term on its Board of Directors.

February 1995

Clayton & McCulloh opens its first Brevard County office in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida.

1996

Clayton & McCulloh hosts its first firm seminar in Melbourne Beach. The seminar is so successful that the firm decides to launch annual Community Association Law Seminars conveniently located around the state.

1996

Client growth excels so much that the firm expands to a 10,000 sq. foot building located in the Maitland Center, just outside of Downtown Orlando.

October 1997

Clayton and McCulloh celebrates its 10th Anniversary!

January 1999

Clayton & McCulloh opens a satellite office in Daytona Beach.

February 2000

Clayton & McCulloh prevails at trial court, at the 5th DCA in Florida, before the Supreme Court of Florida and before the U.S. Supreme Court (denial of Writ of Certiorari) in the case of Bryan v. Clayton & McCulloh.

February 2000

Attorney Russ Klemm joins the law firm

May 2001

Brian Hess joins the law firm as a law clerk

March 2002

Attorney Russ Klemm becomes a Partner

June 2003

Brian Hess becomes a full-time employee of Clayton & McCulloh

April 2004

Brian Hess becomes an Attorney at Clayton & McCulloh

January 2006

Clayton & McCulloh adds Trade Shows as an addition to it’s’ already popular seminars

March 2007

Clayton & McCulloh becomes an exclusive partner with the non-profit organization, North East Community Association Managers (NECAM), serving the greater Jacksonville area. Arlene Ring is elected to the Board and serves as President through February of 2012.

October 2007

Clayton & McCulloh celebrates its 20th Anniversary!

May 2009

Clayton & McCulloh closes Daytona Beach office

June 2009

Ken Clayton & Neal McCulloh form Community Association Title, Inc. (CAT) to expand the already numerous services we offer its clients to also include title searches, real estate closing services and issuance of title insurance.

January 2010

Clayton & McCulloh introduces mortgage foreclosure defense with deferred payments as an additional service offered to its clients.

February 2010

Clayton & McCulloh leases additional office space in the Paragon Building in Maitland, adjacent to their Main Office, to house its Public Relations, Client Services, and Business Development Departments

February 2010

CAT also opens an office in the Paragon Building.

March 2010

Fireside Chats are introduced.These small group meetings cover a wide variety of community association topics.

July 2010

Brian Hess becomes a Partner with the law firm

December 2011

Clayton & McCulloh closes its office in Indian Harbor Beach

January 2012

Clayton & McCulloh reopens an office in Brevard County, this time in Melboune in the Suntree/Viera area.

March 2012

Once again, due to continued growth, Clayton & McCulloh leases additional office space in the Diplomat Building, located in Winter Park to house its Special Circumstances Collection Department.

June 2012

Clayton & McCulloh becomes one of the founding Exclusive Partners in the non-profit organization Brevard Community Association Management, Inc. (BCAM), serving primarily Brevard County. Arlene Ring is elected President of BCAM and serves on the Board of Directors.

February 2013

Clayton & McCulloh remodels and leases additional space in the Diplomat Building on Lee Road in Orlando to house its entire Collections Department. The Public Relations, Clients Services, and Business Development along with CAT Departments relocate back to the Main Office in Maitland.

May 2014

Paul West becomes a partner within the firm

September 2014

Clayton & McCulloh launches the first phase of their new web-site.

October 2014

Attorney Jennifer Davis joins Clayton &McCulloh's Collections Department

February 2015

The FLCAJ Reader’s Choice Awards announces Clayton & McCulloh as the Diamond Winner for Legal Services.

February 2016

The FLCAJ Reader’s Choice Awards announces Clayton & McCulloh as the Platinum Winner for Legal Services.

February 2016

Clayton & McCulloh is the first to be approved by the State of Florida to offer the Board Certification Class for Board Members of Mobile Home Parks.

March 2016

The Most Awesome Awards are introduced to recognize outstanding Board Members and Managers.

April 2016

Fireside Chats are brought back by popular demand. This series of smaller seminars are conducted at both offices, and cover a wide range of topics of interest to Board Members and Managers, as well as Board Certification Classes.

December 2016

Clayton & McCulloh relocates the Melbourne office four doors down from the old location to gain more meeting space for their ever popular seminars.

January 2017

The small group Community Connect Chats make their debut and are held throughout 2017.

February 2017

The FLCAJ Reader’s Choice Awards announces Clayton & McCulloh as the Diamond Winner for Legal Services.

February 2017

Clayton & McCulloh and Clients mourn the passing of Partner Paul West.

July 2017

Attorney Jennifer Davis becomes Lead Attorney for Collections.

October 2017
